That's a scene I saw in Modern Family, which is a very inspriational TV series.

When I was watching the lastest two episodes, I was really jealous of the style of American parenting.

I believe it's not happened in all of American famlies, however, it happens in much more than ours in Taiwan.

As Lily Aldrin said in "How I met your mother",

"in the future, if you wanna someone to do their best work, try to motivate them not with fear and intimidation, but through encouragement, inspiration and respect". 

I am just jealous...
